Reuse Plan workshops for Concord Naval Weapons Station site

June 14 Workshop – Get the Facts (DONE)

After extensive input from the public in a series of workshops last year, the City Council in January approved seven land use alternatives for further study. The first part of this workshop will include a project update and recap of the seven alternatives.
In the second half of the workshop, the Project Team will talk with participants in small groups about the various studies conducted during the preparation of the alternatives. Small group topics will include Transportation, Land Stewardship, Green Building, Community and Economics.
August 2 Workshop – Balancing the Alternatives (DONE)
On August 2 at the Balancing the Alternatives Workshop, participants will measure the land use alternatives against evaluation criteria to understand the benefits and challenges of each alternative.
September 13 Workshop – Building Consensus
On Sept. 13 at the Building Consensus Workshop, participants will discuss methods of prioritizing the alternatives to meet the project goals and guiding principles.

There will also be a Public Meeting to solicit comments on Reuse Project Draft EIR on Thursday, July 10 from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Concord Civic Center, 1950 Parkside Dr. in the City Council Chamber.
